It is September 1st. I repeat, it is September 1st! How is that even possible? I feel like August just started last week! I’ll be upfront with you guys. I have a love hate relationship with September. The early mornings tend to be cool and then midway through the day it decides to go all crazy and heat up to the 80s. Not nice, September. Besides the confusing weather (especially where I live) September has my heart because September 23 is the first day of Autumn, which is a super exciting day because Fall is my FAVORITE season!
The transition of summer to fall clothes is slowly approaching and I will be sharing some clothing tips these next couple weeks to help the transition a bit easier for all you lovelies. If you can’t wait for the next couple weeks, check out an older post I wrote about when the right time to wear boots is here. If you are in need some outfit inspriration for transitioning clothes from summer to fall, no worries I’ve got you covered!
I would choose to wear neutrals any day over a bright color, but I forced myself to get out of my comfort zone this summer and ended up falling in love with wearing bright colors and patterns. Sometimes it can be tricky with wearing bright colors in fall because it is usually reserved for more toned down colors. A fun way to transition into fall with color is to add a pop of color with a fun bag or shoe like I did above! I have always liked high waisted pants over low rise and fell in love with these because they are stretchy and super comfortable (and also on sale for $30.00)! I don’t even know where to start with this top because I love it so much! Like so much to where I can honestly say I have worn it 3 times this past week. It is a slightly cropped top, but looks great when you pair it with high waisted pants.
Going out with your friends and don’t know what to wear? Instead of reaching for your LBD you’ve just about worn out, take a chance with a fun off the shoulder dress like this one from RaeLynns Boutique! The maroon color is the poster child color for fall and the sleeves will keep you warm on a chillier night! Pair it with some chic gladiator heels like I did or take it to the next level and throw on your favorite fall booties.
I love this look for a casual work day or class presentation if you are a student like me. The best part about this look is you get to bypass the hour it takes to pick out the perfect statement necklace because this top comes with one built in. BRILLIANT! Not that it really has anything to do with fall, but the high waisted pants and heels will help elongate your legs which is a great tip for anytime of the year. So obviously this outfit would be a better choice for the end of September when its a little cooler, but it doesn’t hurt to plan ahead. If September is anything like August was, then the end of the month will be here before we know it.
