Call me crazy, but I’ve been wishing for snow all winter. I woke up yesterday morning to a winter wonderland outside and quite possibly freaked out my family when I screamed “SNOW” at 8:00AM. Something about the first snowfall makes me want to cozy up inside with a cup of coffee and rewatch Friends on Netflix all day long. Sadly, my Christmas break is ending and dropping out of school to stay home drink coffee and watch tv doesn’t seem like a widely accepted career choice.
Thus, venturing out into the cold isn’t an option, but a fact of life. Thank goodness for comfy sweaters, large coats, and cute hats because I don’t know how else I could survive winter. My go-to clothing item this winter has been turtlenecks, which if you would have told me that four months ago, I would’ve laughed in your face. Surprisingly, they have quickly become my favorite clothing item and a staple piece in my closet. Here are my top 6 turtlenecks for winter.
1. MIXED STITCHED TURTLENECK
I own this sweater in navy and it is as comfortable and warm as it looks. The stitching makes it stand out from the other turtlenecks I own and can be styled casually or dressed-up–which is my favorite part about this sweater.
2. CABLE TUNIC SWEATER
This is your classic “everyday” turtleneck that will help keep you warm in the 20 degree weather.
3. T-SHIRT TURTLENECK
Chunky sweaters are my absolute favorite, but sometimes you need to allow people to realize you are a woman and that you have a body under comfortable sweater you are wearing. I love this t-shirt turtleneck because of the relaxed fit and casual vibe.
4. STRIPE SWEATER DRESS
This is one turtleneck I have yet to purchase, but is definitely on my wish list. During winter it’s easy to get in the habit of wearing plain or neutral colors, so it is fun to mix it up with a patterned piece every once in a while.
5. OVERSIZE TURTLENECK SWEATER
This is a turtleneck that I would wear everyday to classes. It’s oversized and perfect to throw on over leggings as I am heading out the door for a day full of school. The light pink is also flattering and can help bring some color to your cheeks if you run on the pale side like me.
6. RIBBED TURTLENECK
Tired of the oversized and chunky sweaters? This ribbed turtleneck is perfect to wear to the office or around town while keeping you warm this winter. I also really love the shade of blue and can help add a pop of color into your winter wardrobe that probably consists of black, grey, and black. Am I right?
Which one was your favorite turtleneck?

Cute turtlenecks. I love them to be honest, and I didn’t know I did until I bought one from ASOS this year. It’s so comfy & cute 🙂 xx adaatude.com

Can one be too short for turtlenecks? I feel like I am, but I absolutely love these styles you’ve chosen. I especially LOVE the decorative collar that you have showing from under you sweater – that is so cute, girl!
